Next Generation RCS Call for Technologies released

DVB has today released a Call for Technologies inviting the submission of candidate technologies that could be considered for inclusion in a future DVB interactive satellite communications system. The full system, when completed, will consist of two parts: t he first will be a 2nd generation version of DVB’s Return Channel Satellite (DVB-RCS) standard; accompanied by a Higher Layer Satellite specification that will support commonly used IP based protocols and applications.
