Once again
at IBC, DVB technology is taking centre stage – the big story this year is
mobile TV with products and services based on DVB-H technology to be found
throughout the exhibition halls. The Mobile Zone is the focus of attention for
those interested in mobile TV, but the entire RAI exhbition centre is being covered
by a DVB-H multiplex provided by the DVB Project with support from SIDSA,
National Grid Wireless and Mier Comunicaciones. Find more information about
DVB-H at IBC, including the Guide to DVB-H @ IBC 2006 on DVB-H.org.
As usual at
IBC there is a strong showing for interactive TV, with applications based on
MHP continuing to prove popular. The DVB Project Office has compiled both a
Guide to MHP @ IBC 2006 as well as an MHP Update giving details about
deployments of MHP around the world and the latest developments with the
specifications, licensing, testing, etc... Both of these documents can be found
at www.mhp.org.
The DVB
