DR, Danish Broadcasting Corporation, is the oldest and largest public service broadcaster in Denmark. It has two national TV channels (DR1 & DR2), three national radio channels and nine regional radio stations. DR1 and DR2 is distributed terrestrially (PAL - 625 lines) and via satellite (DVB). The satellite used for DVB transmissions is Thor II at 1 degree West. Digital terrestrial services are expected to start in 2003/2004.
