Republic of Cape Verde to have DTT service

According to a recent article on the website allAfrica.com two new broadcasting services will be starting in the Cape Verde group of Islands. CV Multimedia, a subsidiary of Cabo Verde Telecom has launched an IP-TV service, offering 21 channels and this will compete with Cape Verde Digital a subsidiary of Chinese company Xiamen Sinonets Electronics, which plans to launch a DVB-T service with some 20 channels.
The overall population of the Cape Verde Islands is 460,000 of which only 70,000 have fixed lines limiting the number able to use the IP-TV service.
