Commission to analyse DTV formats

The Government of Costa Rica has created a joint commission to analyse the available formats for digital terrestrial television and report on the most suitable system by March 2010.
The commission comprises of the Vice Minister of Telecommunication, Hannia Vega, Rodrigo Arias Camacho representing public universities, as well as a representative for the Costa Rican Chamber of Information Technologies and Communication and a delegate from the university Veritas. The commission is expected to start work in the next few weeks and will listen to operators, producers, vendors, broadcasters and consumers when deciding what standard to recommend.
